Women Development Corporation, Bihar is a registered Organization under Societies Registration Act,1860.

It is working in close conjunction with Department of Social Welfare, Government of Bihar and is the nodal agency for implementing women development programmes of the State.

Women Development Corporation, Bihar is working in close partnership with Community Based Organisations, Administration & NGOs and main streaming the social, cultural and economic empowerment process for the women and girls of Bihar.

• The objective of Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana ensures the rightful place of pride in the society for a girl child, her safety and security, improve the sex ratio and to encourage registration of birth

• Under the scheme the girl child gets Rs 2000/ after producing Birth registration certificate and the birth has to be registered within a year of the birth.

• More then 14.87 lac beneficiaries have so far availed the benefit of the scheme and a sum of Rs. 297.56 Crores have been spent.
